Working for technological empowerment and sustainable livelihoods at the grass root levels.

Highlights & Achievements

Over the years SEED has achieved significant breakthroughs in developing and demonstrating replicable technology packages and field models in several sectors with involvement of its partners S&T based field groups and S&T institutions. Important proven and sustainable models/packages having potential for large-scale replication at the grass root levels are as under:-

  • Replication of 10 technology models developed
through SEED by line function departments (CAPART, Women and ChildDevelopment) and UN-agencies (APCTT).

  • Special food security programme
    for Jarwas/Onges in A&N islands.

  • Waste management for value addition & income generation to
    SC community.

  • Replication of Ten Rural Technologies

  • Setting up of sixteen Women Technology Parks and four Rural Technology Parks.

  • No. of Horticultural Processing Units Managed By Women

  • Development of Solar Photovoltaic Based electronic milk tester

  • Development of modified filature for silk spinning.
